One of the best thermals you can get; and its good value and made in Britain. 20/01/2021

There are some really good thermals out there these days, and the Transpire fleece is one of them. But if you're looking for one made in Britain and good value this is easily the best that I have found.
I mainly use mine sea kayaking, as that's mainly what I do, and I use it day in and day out. I also use it for sea kayak expeditions where I carry a set for in the boat and another for on the land.
In fact it is its versatility that I like the most. If I'm not kayaking then I might be biking, running or climbing and if it's not too hot I will have it on.

I’ve worn plenty of base layers in my time but none so warm. Also very comfortable with plenty of movement.

The Transpire Fleece Set replaced my former 2 layer (merino wool/fleece) set. Used it late winter under my drysuit and also 1 week in the alps for skiing. Excellent comfort at any temperature I used it. The fleece set always feels warm and dry, without overheating.
In the alps, the temperature was -15C in the morning and +10 in the afternoon, no problem, always comfortable.
Same for paddling, it keeps you well tempered and dry during winter and spring paddling.
When used or washed, it dries really fast even in colder conditions, way better than wool. Another big benefit is that it doesn’t get smelly (like ordinary fleece), even when used a couple of days in row without washing it.
I’m 185cm/85kg and ordered size L and it has a nice tight fit without restricting movement.
